More than 50 people joined forces on Sunday to unite against dementia by taking part in the first memory walk in Richmondshire.
Richmondshire Dementia Action Alliance Group’s walk took place in and around Coronation Park in Catterick Garrison to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The two kilometre walk followed a Richmondshire Walking for Health route prepared by local walking stalwart, William Gedye and was fully accessible for those taking part.
This story continues after the adverts:
The walk was opened by Richmondshire’s dedicated admiral nurse Cath Peach and the district council’s dementia member and RDAA member Councillor Lawrence Grose.
Councillor Grose welcomed everyone to the walk which the group hopes will be established as an annual event in the walking and fundraising calendar.
