Police are appealing for witnesses after a drone, thermal imaging equipment and other items were stolen from vehicles in Tunstall.
Two thefts took place overnight between 11pm on Monday, August 18, and 7am the following morning.
North Yorkshire Police said the first offence occurred on Yarborough Close, with a second theft reported on South View.
Property reported stolen from the vehicles includes:
- A grey DJI Mini drone
- A Falcon FQ50 thermal spotter
- A PARD night vision add-on
- A Lenovo Magic Pad
- Wireless Logitech headphones
- Two pairs of Tommy Hilfiger designer glasses
Officers are carrying out enquiries and have asked residents in the area to check CCTV and video doorbell footage from the time of the offences for suspicious people or vehicles.
Police are also asking people to look out for the stolen items being offered for sale through online marketplaces, including Facebook Marketplace, eBay and Gumtree.
Anyone who spots any of the property for sale is asked to provide police with screenshots, seller details or information about the listing where possible.
Residents are also being reminded to ensure their vehicles are locked and valuables are removed from view.
