Eight wins for Wensleydale Creamery at international awards

The Wensleydale Creamery is celebrating after recording eight wins at this year’s International Cheese and Dairy Awards (ICDA).

Among the awards won by the Hawes company was the Berkel Trophy Best Creamery Territorial cheese for its Yorkshire Wensleydale, which saw the creamery go up against the likes of double Gloucester, red Leicester and Cheshire cheese for the top spot.

As the world’s largest cheese and dairy awards, the ICDA showcases more than 5,000 cheeses from across the globe and champions the leading cheese and dairy producers.

It wasn’t just the ICDA where Wensleydale Creamery triumphed – it also took home eight awards at this year’s Great Yorkshire Show, including a prestigious Gold & Best Butter for its Yorkshire Butter.
