The emergency services were called to a collision at Newton-le-Willows yesterday.
The single-vehicle incident occurred at around 6.15pm.
The male driver of a Mercedes, who was in his 50s, was out of the vehicle when the emergency services arrived.
Firefighters from Bedale and Colburn attended the incident.
They gave the driver first aid for minor injuries and then handed him into the care of paramedics.
