Emergency services called to rescue walker

The emergency services were called to help a walker who suffered a medical emergency today.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service was called to the scene above Sedbusk in Wensleydale.

They requested the help of Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team.

The walker was treated on scene by the ambulance service personnel and SMRT medics.

Due to the seriousness of the situation, SMRT asked for the help of the Great North Air Ambulance to assist and airlift the casualty to hospital.
