The emergency services came to the aid of an 87-year-old woman last night after she had fallen.
The woman from Richmond had fallen behind her front door meaning her family could not get in.
Firefighters from Richmond were called to help by the police at just after 11pm on Saturday night.
They used small tools to gain entry to the property before helping with the patient once inside.
The woman was left in the care of a family member.
