Environment activity day to take place this Saturday

An environment activity day w2ill be held on Saturday as part of the district’s Climate Action Partnership’s COP26 eco festival.

The nature themed event on November 6 at the Just the Job community orchard and gardens will see a host of free activities for people of all ages.

They include:

  • Forest school activities
  • Make a bug hotel
  • Bug hunt
  • Create your own bird box
  • Green wood working demonstrations
  • Hazel and willow coppice activities
  • Composting
  • Upcycling crafts

Free shuttle buses are being provided from Nuns Close car park to the gardens.

They will set off from Colburn village hall at 10am, 11am and 12 noon with return buses until 3pm.

The event takes place from 10am until 3pm at the gardens in Quarry Road, Gallowfields Trading Estate, Richmond DL10 4BP.

The project has been part funded by the HM Government and Together for Our Planet.
