An evening of words and music with the theme of Remembrance will take place at Leyburn Arts and Community Centre this month.
Dales residents of all ages will read texts on the theme of Remembrance, some of them unexpected, some perhaps familiar.
They will include poignant and sometimes amusing eyewitness accounts of war, as well as poems and writings from across the world reflecting the experience of soldiers and civilians, and the constant presence of the natural world.

Music by a variety of composers including Puccini, Vaughan Williams, Arvo Part, and popular songs, will be performed by members of the Richmondshire Symphony Orchestra.
The event will take place on November 11 at 7.30pm.
