Leyburn Community Library are hosting a Comic Art Masterclass in the first week of the summer holidays to coincide with The Summer Reading Challenge 2018.
The theme of The Summer Reading Challenge is Mischief Makers inspired by the iconic comic The Beano which celebrates its 80th anniversary this year. To kick this off at Leyburn Community Library we are hosting a Comic Art Masterclass on Friday 27th July 2018.  The Comic Art Masterclass is intended for any youngsters including older ones and even adults who are young at heart!

Kev F Sutherland writes and draws for The Beano, Doctor Who and Marvel comics, and now he can teach you how easy it is. After the end of a Comic Art Masterclass, everyone goes away with a comic containing a strip by everyone in the masterclass plus an individual caricature by KevF.

Learn everything he knows, so you can steal his job!

We are really excited that he is coming to Leyburn Community Library to give two masterclass sessions on Friday 27th July for anyone keen to improve their comic writing and drawing skills. The masterclass really is suitable for all ages. There are two sessions to chose from: 10.00 am-12.30 and 1.30 pm-4.00 pm.

Here’s the link and you can also find it on Leyburn Community Library Facebook page too.
We have priced the tickets very reasonably at just £6 and this includes all the equipment needed for the day. Tickets are available through Eventbrite (just search Leyburn Comic Art) and our Facebook Page or pop in to Leyburn Community Library with your payment.
