An exhibition of pictures in mixed media by a group of amateur artists who meet once a month in Durham. Subjects are varied from watercolours through to oils.
For many years members from Deerness Art Group have visited The Station to view the works exhibited there. We decided that we would also like the opportunity to hold our Summer Exhibition at The Station, and that is why we have applied to exhibit in June 2018. Deerness Art Group is an association of amateur artists resident in the North East region. We draw our members from the Tyne to North Yorkshire. Our interests are painting related activities centred on developing our skills, knowledge and enjoyment from our hobby or semi-professional activities. Our current base for regular monthly meetings is the Newton Hall Community Centre, Pity Me, Durham. Members are adopting various mediums this year including oils, acrylics, mixed media and watercolour. We also have a member who specialises in silk printing.
