After a quiet year Carperby Concerts are back this weekend with the return of an old favourite, Gerry Colvin.
Gerry will be making his fifth appearance in the village with a bunch of new and familiar material and a four piece band, including Lyndon Webb (ex-Jigantics), Jerome Davies and Trish Power.
The band combines guitars, double bass, squeezebox and spine tingling vocal harmonies. Gerry’s infectious energy and sense of the absurd draws audiences in and leaves them howling with laughter.
Not surprising for someone who has performed as a comedy double act with Hollywood superstar Mackenzie Crook.
In his other guise, as one half of the duo “Terry and Gerry”, he has toured extensively in recent years and supported Status Quo on their 2015 tour.
If you want to see this unique musical character, come along to Carperby Village Institute on Saturday, November 10 at 7pm.
Tickets are £12 in advance or £14 on the door but they are selling fast.
Richmondshire Today readers can claim a £2 discount on door price.
Just say ‘ Richmondshire Today Discount’ to claim the discount.
Call 01969 663808 for advance tickets or further details.
There will be a licensed bar and all proceeds from the concert will go to the BAWB Schools PTFA.
