An exhibition of digitally painted black and white photographs: 1930s – 1970s
Bronia Gardner’s work seeks to convey the deeper narrative of quietness found in mid-twentieth century, black & white photography. Her subjects often depict a vanished, more naive time and world found in both urban and rural images.
All her work is digitally produced on her iPad, utilising a specific colour palette designed to to introduce a softer perspective to potentially challenging images.
Each image in the exhibition is tied to Bronia’s mind or memories, they are of places she has lived, social issues she is passionate about or of people who have had a profound influence on her own life.
