Richmond Branch Royal British Legion Celebtares its 100th Birthday on the 13th September 2021. Thats 100 years of continued support to our civil, military communities and to our beneficiaries.

To celebrate tthis prestigious occasion, as part of those celebrations, we, along with other Royal British Legion branches are exercising the right as “freemen of the town” to hold a service and to parade our standards through the town.

We will be joined by the National Chairman, of the Royal British Legion along with the County of Yorshire President and senior militay and civic dignartaries.

In 2013, the Richmond Town Council conferred the freedom of the town to the Royal British Legion (RBL). The only town in the country to do so, we, the Richmond Branch are very proud representatives of this honour and felt it fitting to parade our standards.

Prior to the Parade in the Friary Gardens there will be a short service of dedication, a presentation of the Centenary Pennant and addreses from the Mayor of Richmond, The National Chairman and Branch President
