A new exhibition of engraved glass by Northern Members of The Guild of Glass Engravers opens at The Garden Rooms at Tennants in Leyburn later this month.
Echoes of Light will showcase the skills of this talented group of artists.
It will feature a wide variety of glass with intricate figurative and abstract decoration carried out using different methods of engraving.
This story continues after the adverts:
The Northern Branch of the Guild of Glass Engravers is the foremost group of glass engravers in the North of England, and joining the Northern Branch as guest exhibitors will be two renowned glass engravers – James Denison-Pender, an exquisite stipple engraver, and Tracey Sheppard who is known for her amazing church windows.
The exhibition will be an opportunity for those new to glass engraving to learn about and appreciate the artistic abilities of the engravers, and to stimulate interest in this wonderful medium amongst a wider audience.
The exhibition runs from May 24 to June 14.
Many of the pieces in the exhibition will be for sale, and engraving demonstrations for visitors will be taking place on 27th May from 10am to 2pm.
