Expanding junior football club thanks local businesses for support

A junior football club has thanked local businesses for their support after an appeal for sponsorship was quickly answered.

Leyburn United JFC issued an appeal for help after launching three new teams ahead of the 2019/20 season.

The club now has teams at U6, U7, an U8s girls team, U10, U11, U13 and U14 level.

Club chairman Chris Ellis said the coaches, parents and children were thrilled with their new kit and grateful for the support from the local community.

“The club has expanded in recent months and we have launched several new teams this season to make sure we can offer football to as many children as possible.

“We have teams playing and been successful in both the Hambleton and Richmondshire League and the Harrogate and District League.

“We issued an appeal for help with new kit at the start of the season and were inundated with offers – we are so grateful for the support which means the children really do feel and look the part.”

The local businesses which sponsored the teams were: Metcalfe Farms; Streetwise Private Hire; Team Caterpillar; GN Thwaite Heating and Plumbing: Leyburn Co-op: Deansbury Kitchens in Northallerton: the Three Horseshoes Social Group; PH Machin Plumbing and Heating; H Binks and Son and A Star Scaffolding.
