Extra dates have been added to Tennants of Leyburn’s family friendly theme nights, which the are running in their bistro throughout August, as part of the Government’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme.

Diners can take advantage of the scheme to get 50 per cent off food and soft drinks to a maximum of £10 per person.

The theme nights now include American diner night on August 12 which is already sold-out, Mexican nights on August 18 and 19, and surf and turf nights on August 25 and 26.

Since re-opening on July 4, Tennants have expanded their culinary offering.

In addition to their seasonal menu served daily in the bistro and Sunday lunch menu, they are offering tapas with a Yorkshire twist on Friday and Saturday evenings and a drive-thru takeaway service.

A range of restaurant quality dishes including tapas are available to order online, and a member of staff delivers direct to diners’ cars.

Director Paul Freeman said: “We have made every effort to provide options for all our visitors – for those who want to dine in the welcoming atmosphere of our Bistro, grab a coffee with their family or those who want great food but with minimal contact.

“We aim for everyone to feel safe, comfortable, and most of all well-fed.”

The Eat Out To Help Out Scheme is on offer in both the café and bistro at Tennants Monday to Wednesday throughout August.
