Police have issued a warning to businesses after fake notes were used in a Richmondshire shop.
A number of the fake £20 notes were used to purchase goods from a shop in Richmond.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Please remain vigilant and take the time to check carefully as the fake notes were of a high quality.
“If you have any concerns please call 101 and ask to speak to one of our team.”
