Family fun day to be held at Tesco for Armed Forces Day

A family fun day will be held at Tesco on Saturday for Armed Forces Day.

The day will include a display of military vehicles, drones and weapons, plus performances by the Military Wags Choir and the Lazer Cheer Academy.

There will also be a rodeo bull, children’s games and a DJ.

Other attractions include face painting, craft stalls and food vans.

Jennie Paine, a team manager at Tesco in Catterick, said: “Tesco is proud to uphold the Armed Forces Covenant, a commitment to support the Armed Forces Community and recognise the value Armed Forces colleagues contribute to our business and our country.

“In 2014 we were the first retailer to sign the Armed Forces Covenant, showing our commitment to making Tesco a great place to work for serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families.”

The free family fun day will take place this Saturday in the car park from 10am to 4pm.
