
Farm and garden supply company Sam Turner & Sons are investing for the future with state-of-the-art new computer software.
The new business management software went live at the start of the month.
The company has been working with Lincolnshire based specialists OrderWise over the past year to [re[are for the launch which bosses say will revolutionise the way the company functions.
Director Charlie Turner said: “The implementation of our new software has been a significant investment for us, but in the long run it will ensure that Sam Turner’s will be able to thrive in an ever-demanding retail sector.
“Our previous system was designed over 30 years ago, and this truly brings us into the digital age.
“From purchasing to stock management, it will allow us to be much smarter in every aspect of our business, dedicating our focus on delivering the excellent customer service and competitive pricing that Sam Turner’s is known for.”
Sean Cooper, project manager at OrderWise, added: “Sam Turner’s houses a vast range of products across its four stores, which made this particular project an interesting experience for us.
“We’re happy that our software will enable them to work more efficiently going forward”.
Alongside the transition to the OrderWise system, a new distribution and ecommerce building has been built on the existing Darlington Road site in Northallerton.
