Female cut free from wreckage after Wensleydale crash

A motorist suffered suspected spinal injuries in a crash in Wensleydale on Sunday.

The emergency services were called to Brunton Banks, between Redmire and Carperby, at about 1.45am.

Police, firefighters from Leyburn and Reeth and paramedics attended the single-vehicle collision.

On arrival there were two occupants out of the vehicle, however one female casualty was trapped in the vehicle due to her injuries.

Fire crews used cutting equipment to release her from the vehicle.

The casualty was then taken to hospital via road ambulance with suspected spinal injuries
