Organisers of Richmond Christmas Market have announced plans for a festive fancy dress 5k run.
The event will take place on December 5 — the same day as the Christmas market.
Starting from the market place by the stage at 10.45am, the run is open to all runners/walkers of any age and is free to enter.
The run is being organised by local running group Team Caterpillar.
Catherine Colling, from the organising committee, said: “We encourage everyone to get dressed up in their best festive fancy dress – and there will be a special prize for the best entrant.
“To join you simply need to register your details, and then book on to the race — it is completely free.”
All runners must be registered prior to the event.
For insurance purposes, organisers can’t accept any entries on the day.
All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
