Firefighters were called to a chimney fire last night.
The incident occurred in a property near Catterick Garrison at about 10.15pm.
A crew from Colburn Fire Station arrived to find a chimney fire well alight inside the domestic property.
The cause of the fire is believed to have been due to a build-up of debris inside the chimney.
Firefighters used a chimney kit to extinguish the fire and gave advice to the occupant.
