Firefighters were called to a bin fire in Tunstall during the early hours of the morning.
A crew from Richmond attended the incident on Main Street at 2.18am following reports of a fire involving domestic bins in a garden.
Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze and deployed a thermal imaging camera to check for any remaining hot spots.
Why didn’t someone simply pour a bucket of water onto it? What a waste of resources!
