Firefighters were called to assist a resident trapped inside a bedroom in Richmond on Friday evening.
A crew from Richmond was mobilised to Hurgill Road at 9.48pm following reports that an occupant was unable to exit their room due to a fault with the door.
On arrival, crews found the individual trapped inside the bedroom after the door mechanism had malfunctioned.
Using small tools, firefighters were able to gain access and safely release the occupant.
No injuries were reported.
