Firefighters were called to tackle a car fire near Catterick Garrison on Tuesday.
A crew from Reeth Fire Station were mobilised at around 1.59pm to reports of a single vehicle on fire on Range Road.
On arrival, the car was found to be well alight. Firefighters wearing two sets of breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the blaze and check for hotspots.
The vehicle was later recovered, and crews carried out a final swill down of the road surface.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
Firefighters thanked drivers for their patience while the incident was brought under control.
