Firefighters were called out after a road accident near Newton-le-Willows today.
Nobody was hurt in the incident which saw a car leave the road and end up on its side in a ditch.
The crew from Leyburn made the vehicle safe by removing the battery.
They then winched it back on to four wheels to enable the owner to get his personal belongings out.
