Firefighters attended a fire in a kitchen in Richmond yesterday.
Crews from Richmond, Colburn and Darlington were called to the incident in Finkle Street just after 7am on Sunday.
They arrived to a find a fire in an oven on the first floor of the premises.
The fire was extinguished by the crews.
Damage was confined to the oven.
Firefighters isolated the gas supply, used thermal cameras to check the building and gave advice to the occupant.
