
Around 20 firefighters were called to tackle a workshop fire in Catterick Garrison yesterday.
Crews from Richmond, Colburn, Leyburn and Bedale attended the incident in Somme Barracks Road at about 7.40am
The fire was in a building used as a domestic workshop measuring approximately 10m by 30m, with the blaze spreading to the roof.
Crews used breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera, a hose reel, short extension ladders and a roof ladder to tackle the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
