Firefighters from Richmond and Hawes were called to a commercial property fire at Leyburn Business Park at around 12.14pm today.
On arrival, crews confirmed a fire within an industrial laundry unit and requested further assistance, including an aerial ladder platform from Darlington.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to extinguish the blaze, which had started in a steam vessel.
The fire caused damage to the vessel and an internal flue within the building.
No injuries were reported, and crews remained on scene to ensure the area was made safe.
