Firefighters were called to tackle a large bonfire near Castle Bolton after concerns about the ongoing dry weather.
Crews from Hawes attended the incident at about 9pm on Monday, where they found a bonfire measuring approximately 10 metres by 10 metres.
The person responsible for the fire was at the scene and worked with firefighters to bring it under control.
Due to the current dry conditions, crews used a slurry tanker alongside two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze safely.
Firefighters also offered safety advice to the responsible person about managing bonfires during the current period of heightened wildfire risk.

The person wasn’t a responsible person, though, but the person responsible!
All I can say is this person is a complete idiot.
