Fire crews were called out to a moorland fire this afternoon.
The incident happened in a plantation on Downholme Moor near military training facilities.
A spokesperson said: “Our crews are currently dealing with an incident at Downholme Moor near Catterick Garrison training facilities. It involves a fire in a plantation on moorland.
“We have a number of crews attending as well as use of our Argocat, three high-pressure hose reels and two leaf blowers.
“We are asking the public to keep away from the area at this time.”
