Fire crews were called to tackle a grass fire near Downholme today.
Appliances from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident, supported by an Argocat all-terrain vehicle and a water bowser.
Firefighters used beaters and blowers to prevent the fire spreading across the grassland.
At the height of the incident, six fire engines were in attendance alongside a command unit and welfare vehicle to support crews dealing with the wildfire.
By 3pm, the incident had been scaled down significantly, with just one fire engine and the Argocat remaining at the scene.
