Firefighters were called out this morning after candles were spotted burning on a windowsill.
The incident happened in Gilling West.
Firefighters were called out just after 1am.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and rescue Service said: “Crew were mobilised to a report of candles left burning on a windowsill in a property.
“Crews gained access and extinguished candles.
“Advice given to occupiers.”
