Firefighters called after pan left on hob in Gayle

Firefighters attended an incident in Gayle last night.

The Hawes crews was called to Harker Hill, Gayle, at about 7.45pm after an alarm activation at a residential premises.

On arrival the crew found the property to be heavily smoke logged due to a frying pan that had been left on the hob unattended.

The pan had been removed from the property prior to the crew’s arrival.

Firefighters ventilated the property and gave the occupant advice.
