Fire crews were called to a house fire in Leyburn Road, Middleham, last night.
Firefighters from Leyburn and Reeth dealt with a fire in the roof void of a single storey house.
They were called at just before 7pm.
The blaze caused damage to roof timbers and insulation.
The property also suffeted Slsmoke damage to the roof void.
The cause was believed to be radiated heat from an uninsulated wood burner flue.
A thermal imaging camera, roof ladder, harnesses, a hose reel jet and hand tools were used.
