Firefighters were called out this morning after a car crashed off the road on the A1(M).
Crews from Colburn, Richmond, Bedale and Darlington were called out at just before 4am responded a car left the carriageway.
The incident happened on the southbound A1 between the Catterick and Leeming junctions.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said nobody was trapped and the driver is believed to have fled the scene before they arrived.
The incident was left in the hands of the police.
