Firefighters were called to a report of a deer trapped in barbed wire by its antlers today.
The incident was reported at 3.15pm in Northallerton Road, Leeming Bar.
Crews from Ripon and Bedale responded to the report but could not find the animal, despite a thorough search of the area.
