Firefighters were called to a barn on fire at Eppleby early this morning.
Crews from Richmond, Northallerton and Darlington were called to the scene at 1.30am.
Crews used breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets, lighting and pitchforks to extinguish the fire.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The cause is unknown at this time and will under further investigation.”
