Firefighters called to help woman after fall

Firefighters were called to help after a woman fell in Richmond yesterday.

The incident happened in Roper Court at about 9.15pm.

A crew from Richmond responded to a request from the ambulance service to assist with the lift of the 53-year-old, who had fallen and sustained a head injury.

Crews used a casualty drag sheet and crew power to transport the patient to the awaiting road ambulance.

The woman was taken to hospital via road ambulance.

  1. Great job by paramedics and firefighters as injured party wax in a very awkward position on the steep slope of the footpath.
    Pitch black as footpath light was not working (there’s a surprise).
    And great response by local residents who found and stayed with the injured lady for well over an hour in rainy conditions until the ambulance arrived.
