Firefighters were called out pump water away from houses yesterday after heavy rain caused flooding.
A crew from Leyburn was called to the town’s Mount Drive at 6.25pm.
Firefighters helped pump water away from houses using a portable pump.
They also assisted homeowners in deploying sandbags to prevent water entering properties.
At around the same time, firefighters from Richmond were mobilised to assist with floodwater close to entering a domestic property at Aske.
The crew isolated the electrics in the property and gave advice to the homeowners only.
