Firefighters were called out this morning after reports of a house filled with smoke.
The incident happened at around 4am in Beechwood Grove, Colburn
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Colburn and Richmond responded to reports of a house filled with smoke after neighbours heard an alarm sounding.
“Crews discovered a small fire out on arrival confined within the oven.
“The cause was accidental and advice was given.”
