Firefighters were called to a report of smoke coming from a vehicle yesterday.
The incident happened in Catterick Road, Colburn, at about 4.50pm.
Richmond firefighters investigated the cause of the smoke and found it to be grass under the vehicle smoking due to heat from the exhaust.
There was no damage to the vehicle, which was moved to a safe area.
Advice was given to those present.
