
Firefighters were called to a van on fire near Richmond last night.
The incident happened at around 11pm in Forcett Hall Road.
A crew from Richmond attended the fire.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and rescue Service said: “This was a small van which was well alight on arrival of crews, two breathing apparatus and one hose reel was used to extinguish the fire.”
In a separate incident, the Richmond crew also attended a report of a fire in the open in Catterick Road, Catterick Garrison, at about 7pm.
They found a paper fire which was out on arrival.
The fire was believed to have been started deliberately.
