
Firefighters were called to a muck heap and trees on fire early this morning.
Richmond and Bedale crews were called out to extinguished the blaze at just after 4am.
It involved two conifer trees and a muck heap at Brough Park, near Colburn.

They used a hosereel and pitchforks, with the cause of ignition attributed to heat generated from the decomposition of the muck heap.
