Firefighters came to the aid of a mother locked out of her house with her child left inside.
The incident happened in Cookson Way, Colburn, at about 3.30pm.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service said: “A crew from Richmond responded to a report of a mother who had become locked outside of her property with a young child left inside.
“Crews made entry to the property using small tools and reunited the child with their mother.”
