Firefighters attended a chimney fire in Mian Street, Carperby, yesterday.
Cres from Leyburn and Reeth were called to the incident just before 6pm.T
The blaze was confided to the chimney of a detached two-storey stone farmhouse.
The cause was believed to be a birds nest in the chimney.
Crew used working at height equipment, chimney kit, roof ladder, a nine-metre ladder and a hose reel jet to extinguish.
