Firefighters help move unconscious car crash patient at hospital

Firefighters were called to the Friarage Hospital help move a patient who fell unconscious in a vehicle after a car crash.

Northallerton and Bedale crews attended the hospital to assist with a casualty who had arranged his own transport following a road traffic collision.

The man who had suffered a head injury went unconscious on arrival at hospital.

Hospital staff were unable to get the man out the car so crews assisted with stabilising and moving him from the car and onto spinal board.

He was then treated by staff at the hospital.
