Firefighters from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service provided first aid to two people following a road traffic collision on the A66 near Gilling West.
The incident happened at around 11.20am this morning and involved two vehicles.
A crew from Richmond attended the scene and confirmed that nobody was trapped inside either vehicle.
Firefighters administered first aid to two casualties before handing them into the care of paramedics when ambulance crews arrived for further assessment.
Additional crews from Northallerton and Darlington were initially mobilised to the incident but were stood down while en route after it was confirmed no further fire and rescue assistance was required.
Richmond firefighters remained at the scene to make the vehicles safe and manage scene safety following the collision.
