Firefighters from Hawes and Leyburn were called to a fire at a residential property in Askrigg last night.
The crews were sent to Main Street at 10.31pm following reports of a fire inside the property.
On arrival, firefighters discovered a blaze in an airing cupboard.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using a hose reel jet.
A thermal imaging camera was also used to check the property and help ensure the fire had been extinguished.
