Fire crews were called to a property in Catterick Village after a fire in a rear garden spread to the outside of a building.
Firefighters from Bedale and Richmond attended the incident at Rowan Court at 10.07pm on Friday.
By the time crews arrived, the fire had already been extinguished. However, firefighters carried out checks to ensure there were no remaining hotspots that could cause the blaze to reignite.
Crews used a thermal imaging camera to inspect the affected area and deployed lighting and a triple extension ladder as part of the operation.
The area was then dampened down using a hose reel jet to eliminate any remaining heat sources.
Following the checks, the incident was left in the hands of the homeowner.
